Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work under supervision of unit Supervisor/Manager/Director
• Responsible for patient care delivery through nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Complete written patient assessments within designated time frames
• Formulate and initiate written care plans within 24 hours of admission
• Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families
• Promote patient independence through education and teaching
• Adhere to therapeutic standards and infection-control policies
• Maintain continuity of care through documentation and communication
• Utilize leadership skills through delegation and team communication
• Recognize changes in patient status and provide appropriate interventions
• Provide ongoing patient and family education
• Prioritize care based on individual patient needs
• Work every weekend (Friday-Sunday)
• No on-call responsibilities
• Must have 2+ years of Med Surg experience
• Must have experience floating to PCU
• Must be proficient with telemetry and able to read and interpret heart rhythms
• Must pass a dysrhythmia test prior to working on the floor
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
• Michigan nursing license required with LARA and/or Nursys verification
• Skills checklist current to 1 year required
• 2 supervisory reference forms completed within last two years required
