Description
Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work on medical oncology unit caring for patients with cancer diagnosis, medical step-down patients, and general medical overflow
• Regularly assess patient needs and provide skilled nursing services according to physician-authorized plan of care
• Provide direct patient care including nursing assessment, medication administration, treatments, call lights, transfers, and alarm responses
• Evaluate treatment plan effectiveness and collaborate with team members to update and revise patient care plans
• Process physician/provider orders and perform ordered care accurately and timely
• Follow up on medication changes and order clarifications
• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 2+ years of Med Surg experience required
• Oncology experience required
• Must be comfortable taking step-down patients
• Prior travel work history highly preferred
• Epic EMR experience highly preferred
• Must have basic knowledge of cancer pathophysiology
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
• Active Michigan nursing license required
• Skills checklist current to 1 year required
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within last two years required
• Must live outside 50-mile radius from facility

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
