Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work in a 30-bed medical surgical unit with 1:4-5 patient ratio
• Care for patients including hip/knee surgeries, mastectomies, and abdominal surgeries
• Required to float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran
• Weekend schedule: Every 3rd weekend including holiday rotation
• No on-call responsibilities
• 24 months of medical surgical experience in hospital or medical center setting required
• Post-operative surgical experience highly preferred
• PCA and heparin drip experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
• Will accept first-time travelers
• Skills checklist specific to medical surgical discipline required
• Professional reference from charge nurse, supervisor, or nurse manager within 24 months preferred
