Opportunity:

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Work in 42-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with 1:2 or 1:3 patient ratios
• Weekend schedule: Every 3rd or 4th weekend as needed including holiday rotation if scheduled
• No on-call responsibilities
• 16 hours guaranteed per week (NBO)
• Billable overtime: 36-40 hours/week with OT billable after 40 hours, or 48 hours/week with OT billable after 48 hours
• Holiday pay at 1.15x multiplier
• Call back pay at 1.5x multiplier with 2-hour minimum
• Charge/Precepting differential: $6/hour
• EMR system: EPIC
• 4 months of NICU/Neonatal Intensive Care experience required
• Must have completed at least one travel contract within the past 18 months (no first-time travelers)
• May float to general pediatrics and PICU
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Iowa nursing license required (or compact/multistate license)
• Must have experience and comfort with vasopressors, sedation, and glucose administration
• Care for premature infants and patients with respiratory distress/failure, hypoglycemia, and other neonatal conditions
• Professional reference from charge/supervisor/nurse manager within 24 months preferred
