Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Every 3rd weekend including holiday rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 16-hour NBO (Number of Billable Obligation) per week
• Required to float across all campuses: Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist
• Work with orthopedics and total joint replacement patients
• Administer specific cardiac medicine drips
• Unit has 34 beds with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 during days and 1:6 during nights
• Must wear navy blue, solid scrubs
• Overtime billable after 40 hours per week (36-40 hrs/week) or after 48 hours (48 hrs/week)
• Holiday pay at 1.15x multiplier
• Call back pay at 1.5x multiplier with 2-hour minimum
• Charge/Preceptor differential of $6/hour
• 24 months of Med Surg experience in hospital or medical center setting required
• Ortho/Rehab experience including total joints and braces required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Experience administering cardiac IV/intravenous push medications highly preferred
• BLS (AHA or American Red Cross) certification required
• Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
• First-time travelers accepted
