Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Overtime billable after 40 hours per week (up to 48 hours per week)
• Weekend schedule typically every other or every 3rd weekend including holiday rotation
• No on-call responsibilities
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 on a 25-bed unit
• Care for post TNK, orthopedic, cranial-neurosurgery, laminectomy, and polytrauma patients
• May float across other med surg units and all campuses including Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran
• Work with telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, airvo equipment, and lift equipment
• Administer heparin drips, PCAs, and 3% sodium
• Must have 24 months of medical surgical experience in hospital setting
• Neurology, orthopedic, and trauma care experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must have completed at least one travel contract within previous 12 months
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS preferred
• Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required
• Skills checklist specific to Medical Surgical/Telemetry required
