Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients in medical surgical telemetry unit
• May be asked to work as a backup Charge Nurse
• Participate in patient and family teaching
• Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel
• Work with Cerner EMR system
• Maintain nurse to patient ratio of 1:4/5 with average daily census of 22 patients
• Must be willing to float to any unit within scope of practice including Acute Rehab and Med Surg
• Work every other weekend and holidays as needed
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
• Must have own vehicle as this is a small community without public transport
• 2 years recent Med Surg/Rehab experience required
• Charge RN experience required
• Previous travel experience (at least 3 months) required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
• Vermont RN License or Compact required
• No more than 5 days of requested time off accepted
• Strict 3 strike rule for call offs enforced with potential contract termination
• Call offs must be communicated to unit supervisor at least 1.5 hours in advance
• Block scheduling requests will not be considered
