Opportunity:

MRI Tech - MRI Tech

Job Details:

• Perform a variety of routine and specialized MRI procedures for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients of all ages
• Perform assigned supervisory functions and maintain ARRT standards
• Verify physician orders and consult with radiologists as necessary
• Prepare patients for exams and explain procedures while providing appropriate education and instruction
• Adhere to MRI safety standards and protocols
• Perform all magnetic resonance imaging studies and administration of contrast media using age-related technical and positioning protocols
• Assist radiologist with MR procedures as requested
• Evaluate MRI images for technical quality
• Operate and maintain MRI and associated equipment and supplies
• Perform equipment warm-up, calibration, and safety checks
• Operate hospital computer system and report equipment malfunctions to supervisor
• Operate equipment according to manufacturer guidelines for quality control
• Weekend coverage required
• On-call responsibilities to be determined
• 1 year of recent GE MRI experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT Certification (AMRIT not accepted)
• Demonstrate courteous behavior through polite and respectful communication adhering to customer service standards
