Opportunity:

Job Details:

• 16 hours guaranteed per week
• On-call schedule up to 2 overnight per week and 4 weekends per 13-week contract
• Weekend call schedule runs from Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 6:30 AM
• Required to float across all campuses within the health system
• Handle average of 35-50 cases per day with expectation for turnovers less than 20 minutes
• Work in 16 operating rooms with 12-14 running routinely
• Patient ratio of 1:1 with 16-bed capacity
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Both scrubbing and circulating experience preferred
• Service lines include cardiac/PV, neuro, ortho (primarily trauma), robotics, gynecology, urology, general surgery, pediatrics, transplants, ENT, and plastic procedures
• Work with specialized equipment including 3 DaVinci robots, Stealth technology for neuro navigation, and primarily Synthes or Stryker for ortho trauma
• Minimum 24 months current operating room experience required
• Strong cardiac, vascular, thoracic proficiency and general surgery experience required
• EPIC electronic medical systems experience within previous 3 years required
• Level I trauma center experience highly preferred
• Must have completed a travel assignment within previous 12 months
• Open heart scrubbing experience highly preferred
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Iowa nursing license required
