Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Assume responsibility and accountability for care of assigned patients during shift
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care using age-specific criteria
• Make clinical judgments based on scientific knowledge and clinical skills
• Assist in planning, directing and teaching non-RN staff including LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries
• Work every other weekend schedule
• No on-call responsibilities
• Must float to all units within skill level
• 2+ years of nursing experience required
• Post-operative open heart care experience required
• Critical care experience highly preferred
• Chest tube and other drain management experience required
• Pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access required
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring including reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips
• Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities required
• Experience with chest tube removal, pericardial pacing wire removal, temporary pacer management
• Experience with non-invasive ventilation devices, high-flow oxygen, and oxygen delivery systems
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
• Active Ohio or Compact RN License required
• Skills checklist current to 1 year pertinent to telemetry specialty required
