Opportunity:

Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech

Job Details:

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging including invasive and non-invasive procedures
• Conduct variety of biopsies, routine OB/GYN, limited vascular, abdomen, small body parts to intra-cavity and color Doppler imaging
• Work in complex environment including inpatient, emergency department and outpatient settings
• Select appropriate technical factors, equipment and transducer settings to produce quality images
• Verify patient orders, obtain patient history, explain procedures and address patient concerns
• Use independent judgment during sonographic exams to differentiate between normal and pathologic findings
• Operate sonographic equipment independently and communicate examination findings
• Maintain daily department operations, patient scheduling, equipment maintenance and quality assessment
• Responsible for appropriate sterilization techniques and documentation accuracy
• On-call requirements with one weekend per month schedule
• 2+ years of ultrasound tech experience required
• General, vascular, abdominal, and OB ultrasound proficiency required
• Must live outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Required certifications: ARDMS and BLS (AHA)
• Skills checklist current within one year and two supervisory reference forms within last two years required
