Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend including holiday rotation
• 16 hours guaranteed per week
• Patient ratio of 1:6 on a 130-bed unit
• May float to behavioral health, emergency department, ICU, and post-procedural areas
• Manage telemetry monitoring and read rhythm strips and dysrhythmias
• Administer drips including heparin, insulin, lasix, amiodarone, diltiazem, and digoxin
• Must complete Basic Dysrhythmia Assessment with passing score of 80% during onboarding
• Work with EPIC EMR system
• 24 months of Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of nursing experience
• Must be comfortable and confident reading EKG/ECG and performing telemetry duties
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS, Iowa nursing license
• Highly preferred: De-Escalation Certificate (SAMA, MAB, MOAB, CPI) and NIH Stroke Scale certificate
• Must live minimum 50 miles from facility location
• Holiday pay at 1.15x multiplier
• Call back at 1.5x multiplier with 2-hour minimum
• On-call rate of $9/hour
• Charge/preceptor differential of $6/hour
