Opportunity:

Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist

Job Details:

• Work under the administrative direction of the Chief Therapist and clinical direction of the Radiation Oncologist
• Must be able to work independently
• Administer prescribed radiation treatments, set necessary factors, and monitor patients and control panels during treatment
• Prepare patients in exam rooms and assist Radiation Oncologist with medical examinations
• Prepare patients, rooms, and equipment for treatment and simulations
• May inject dye into patient skin as markers with appropriate training and oncologist approval
• May administer contrast media retrograde into urinary bladder during simulations
• Perform all necessary equipment calibration as prescribed by Radiation Safety Officer
• Observe radiation safety measures for patients and personnel
• Record patient doses, gather confidential patient history, and document patient reactions
• Update patient examination history files and maintain daily log books
• Complete scheduling, consultation, and billing procedures as required
• Weekend and holiday coverage required if needed
• On-call responsibilities to be determined
• Required certifications: NH License of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy, ARRT, BLS (AHA)
• Must have 2+ years current radiation therapy experience and oncology experience
• VARIAN TRUEBEAM experience required
• ARIA (Treatment Record and Management) experience required
• Must have own vehicle for transportation
• Cannot be a local traveler (must reside more than 50 miles from facility)
