Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work on a 22-bed medical surgical unit with 5:1 patient ratio
• Float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran
• Care for general medical surgical patients with heparin drips
• Weekend schedule typically every other weekend with holiday rotation, flexible based on department needs
• No on-call requirements
• Required to wear navy blue scrubs
• Must have at least 24 months of Med Surg/Medical Surgical/Tele/Telemetry experience
• Previous travel experience within the past 18 months required
• EPIC electronic medical systems experience required
• De-escalation certificate (MAB, MOAB, CPI, SAMA) highly preferred and can be obtained during onboarding
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
• Iowa nursing license required (active Iowa license or compact/multistate)
• Skills checklist specific to medical surgical discipline required
• Professional reference from charge nurse/supervisor/nurse manager within 24 months preferred
