Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work on a 22-bed medical surgical unit with 5:1 patient ratio
• Care for general medical surgical patients and manage Heparin drips
• Required to float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran
• Weekend schedule typically every other weekend with holiday rotation, flexible based on department needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• 16 hours guaranteed per week
• Overtime billable after 40 hours per week (36-40 hrs/week) or after 48 hours (48 hrs/week)
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Must have minimum 24 months of Med Surg/Medical Surgical/Tele/Telemetry experience
• Previous travel experience in the past 18 months required
• EPIC electronic medical systems experience required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
• De-escalation certificate (MAB, MOAB, CPI, SAMA) highly preferred - can obtain during onboarding
• Trauma level I experience highly preferred
• Skills checklist specific to medical surgical discipline required
• Professional reference from charge/supervisor/nurse manager within 24 months preferred
