MRI Tech

Job Details:

• Work weekend shifts every weekend from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
• On-call responsibilities to be determined
• Perform routine and specialized MRI procedures for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients of all ages
• Verify physician orders and consult with radiologists as necessary
• Prepare patients for exams and provide education and instruction as appropriate
• Adhere to MRI safety standards and protocols
• Perform all magnetic resonance imaging studies and contrast media administration
• Assist radiologists with MR procedures as requested
• Evaluate MRI images for technical quality
• Operate and maintain MRI and associated equipment and supplies
• Perform equipment warm-up, calibration, and safety checks
• Operate hospital computer system and report equipment malfunctions
• Maintain standards of ARRT and demonstrate courteous customer service behavior
• 1 year of recent GE MRI experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and ARRT Certification (AMRIT not accepted)
• Perform assigned supervisory functions as needed
