Opportunity:

RN - CVOR

Job Details:

• Assess surgical patient needs and develop individualized care plans before and during procedures
• Implement, evaluate, and document patient care during surgical procedures with focus on patient safety
• Supervise operating room activities and coordinate schedule changes as needed
• Assemble equipment and supplies for procedures
• Assist anesthesia team as necessary and monitor sterile field
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, OR team, supervisors, and ancillary departments
• Participate in staff development through in-services, educational meetings, and continuing education opportunities
• Provide leadership to the OR team during procedures
• Work on-call 1-2 nights per week
• Work every third weekend
• 3+ years of CVOR experience required
• Open heart experience required
• Prior travel work experience required
• Must maintain active Michigan nursing license
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Skills checklist current within 1 year required
• Assignment duration is 8 weeks with firm start date
