RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work every 3rd weekend schedule
• 16-hour night block shifts
• Must have 24 months of Medical Surgical, Stepdown, or Progressive Care experience in a hospital setting
• Neurology/neurosurgery care experience required
• Ortho/orthopedic care experience required
• Trauma care experience highly preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must have completed at least one travel assignment in previous 12 months - no first-time travelers
• Patient ratio: 1:5-6 patients
• Care for heavy neuro trauma, neurosurgery, craniectomy, and orthopedic patients
• Required drip experience: Heparin, PCA, 3% Sodium/Na
• Required specialty equipment experience: telemetry, chest tubes, airvo
• EKG/Strip reading and telemetry experience required
• De-escalation certificate preferred (CPI, MOAB, MAB or SAMA accepted)
• Trauma Level I experience highly preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS, NIHSS preferred
• Iowa nursing license required
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Must be willing to float across all campuses
