Allied Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Sonographer - Cardiac Sonographer

Job Details:

• Perform high quality diagnostic exams and procedures in the Ultrasound department according to physician orders
• Complete studies in a timely and efficient manner utilizing downtime to assist others where needed
• Work with current equipment including 3 Philips CVX Epiq machines, 1 Philips Ellite Epiq machine and Vasculab ABI machine
• Must have 2+ years of experience with Echo and Vascular experience required
• Must be able to perform Echocardiograms with Definity Contrast
• Must be able to perform Echo and Vascular studies including TTE Echocardiograms, TEE, stress echo, venous reflux exams, venous dopplers, carotid doppler, arterial doppler, ABI, pericardiocentesis, Thrombin injections, and vein mapping exams
• Must be able to start own IV
• MediTech EMR experience required
• On-call requirement: 1 weeknight per week
• Possibly 1 weekend per month
• Follow on-call policy by responding to call back within acceptable time-frame and arriving in department within 30 minutes
• Required certifications: ARDMS and BLS (AHA)
• Follow dress code and appearance policy
• Maintain clean work area and follow equipment cleaning policies
• Participate in required hospital and department in-services and meetings
