RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with guaranteed 16 hours per week
• Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation if scheduled
• Float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran
• Patient ratio of 4-5:1 on a 24-bed unit
• Provide medical surgical care including overflow of post-operative surgical hips/knees
• Work with heparin drips and remote telemetry monitoring
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system
• Wear solid navy blue scrubs
• 24 months minimum experience in Med Surg/Med Surg Tele required
• BLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
• Skills checklist specific to medical surgical/telemetry required
• Professional reference from supervisor/manager within 24 months preferred
• Department prefers candidates who can extend past initial 13-week contract
• First-time travelers accepted
