Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician

Job Details:

• Perform technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative
• Inject and administer radiopharmaceuticals with proper dosage calculations and volume measurements
• Position patients on equipment per protocol and monitor patients during procedures
• Operate Nuclear Medicine instrumentation including gamma cameras (planar and SPECT), PET, radiation detectors/counters, and dose calibrators
• Perform quality control on all equipment and maintain accurate dose tracking records
• Start intravenous (IV) access with appropriate site selection and aseptic techniques
• Prepare, measure, and perform quality control of radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes
• Apply radiation safety regulations and procedures following ALARA techniques including time, distance, and shielding
• Follow Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) guidelines for handling, administering, and transporting radioactive materials
• No weekend or holiday work required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 1+ years of Nuclear Medicine experience required
• Required certifications: Active American Heart Association BLS, ARRT (N) or NMTCB Registration
• Skills checklist and 2 supervisory reference forms required
