RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Assume responsibility and accountability for care of assigned patients during shift
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care using age-specific criteria
• Make clinical judgments based on scientific knowledge and clinical skills
• Assist in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff including LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries
• Work every other weekend schedule
• No on-call responsibilities
• Must commit to reporting for all assigned shifts and be on time
• 2+ years of Med Surg experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA), NIHSS (must be active at time of submission)
• Must be competent with cardiac medications including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Cardine, Dobutamine, Lasix, Bumex with knowledge of titration and application
• Must be competent in telemetry and possess knowledge of heart rhythms
• Must possess critical thinking skills and ability to recognize changes in patient status and intervene
• Must have knowledge of signs/symptoms of stroke and ability to recognize status changes and intervene
• Strong communication skills required
• Ohio nursing license required
• Skills checklist current within one year pertinent to specialty required
