RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients in the emergency department
• Participate in patient and family teaching
• Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel
• Maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting
• Recognize each patient as a unique individual with the right to quality nursing care
• Ensure mutual goal setting between nurse and patient
• Protect patient rights and privacy
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards as defined by ANA Code for Nurses
• Follow State of Michigan Public Health code requirements
• Comply with regulatory agency standards including AOA, HCFA, and MIOSHA
• 2 years of emergency department experience required
• Weekend work required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, BLS (AHA)
• ENPC certification accepted in place of PALS
• Michigan nursing license required
