RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work on a 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit serving diverse patient population including general and vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, trauma, and stroke patients
• Fast-paced, challenging environment with excellent learning opportunities for both graduate and experienced nurses
• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 2+ years of Medical Surgical experience required
• Travel experience preferred
• Michigan nursing license required with LARA and Nursys verification
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application required
• Must maintain strict attendance policy - 3 strikes for absences or being more than 20 minutes late results in immediate termination
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Focus on patient-centered care emphasizing patient safety and quality care delivery
• Utilize clinical pathways, patient education, and interactive communication in patient care
• Demonstrate leadership through knowledge sharing and serving as clinical resource
• Participate in Unit Based Council (Shared Governance) promoting teamwork and positive work environment
