RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work in a 22-bed medical surgical unit with 5:1 patient ratio
• Provide care for general medical surgical patients
• Administer Heparin drips and other medications
• Required to float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Weekend schedule typically every other weekend with holiday rotation, flexible based on department needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• 16-hour guaranteed hours per week
• EPIC electronic medical record system experience required
• Minimum 24 months of medical surgical/telemetry experience required
• Previous travel experience within past 18 months required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• De-escalation certificate (MAB, MOAB, CPI, SAMA) highly preferred and can be obtained during onboarding
• Trauma Level I experience highly preferred
• Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
• Must be located within 50-mile radius of facility
