RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation if scheduled
• No on-call responsibilities
• 16-bed unit with 5:1 patient ratios
• Care for telemetry and post-operative surgical patients including orthopedic and general surgery
• Responsible for reading and measuring telemetry strips
• Administer and monitor IV drips including insulin, Cardizem, heparin, and amiodarone
• Work with EPIC electronic medical record system
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
• Minimum 24 months of medical surgical and/or telemetry experience in hospital or medical center setting required
• Orthopedic and general surgery care experience required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Telemetry experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted with minimum 24 months current nursing experience
• Must have experience with insulin and Cardizem drips
• Must have experience with heparin and amiodarone drips
