RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Assume responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients during shift
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care using age-specific criteria
• Make clinical judgments based on scientific knowledge and clinical skills
• Assist in planning, directing and teaching non-RN staff including LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries
• Work every other weekend schedule
• No on-call responsibilities required
• Must float to all units within skill level as needed
• 2+ years of nursing experience required
• Post-operative open heart care experience required
• Critical care experience highly preferred
• Chest tube and other drain management experience required
• Pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access required
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips required
• Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities required
• Experience with chest tube removal, pericardial pacing wire removal, temporary pacer management required
• Experience with non-invasive ventilation devices, high-flow oxygen, and oxygen delivery systems required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
• Active Ohio nursing license or compact license required
• Skills checklist pertinent to telemetry specialty required (current within 1 year)
