RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Overtime billable after 40 hours per week (36-40 hours/week) or after 48 hours (48 hours/week)
• Weekend schedule: every other or every 3rd weekend depending on staffing and census
• No on-call responsibilities
• No blocked shifts allowed
• Float across all campuses: Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran
• Provide medical surgical care including overflow of post-operative surgical hips and knees
• Patient ratios of 4-5:1 in a 24-bed unit
• Work with heparin drips and remote telemetry monitoring
• Minimum 24 months of Med Surg/Med Surg Tele experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC)
• Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required
• Navy blue solid scrubs required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Department prefers candidates who can extend beyond initial 13-week contract
