RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with every other weekend schedule
• Work 36-40 hours per week with overtime billable after 40 hours
• 48 hours per week maximum with overtime billable after 48 hours
• Required to float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran
• Work on 30-bed unit with 1:4-5 patient ratio
• Care for patients with hip/knee replacements, mastectomies, and abdominal surgeries
• Manage PCA and Heparin drips
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system
• 24 months of Medical Surgical experience in hospital or medical center setting required
• Post-operative surgical experience highly preferred
• PCA and Heparin experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
• Professional reference from charge/supervisor/nurse manager within 24 months preferred
