RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 24 months of Medical Surgical experience required
• Pulmonary patient care experience required
• Experience caring for pulmonary/ventilated patients on bi-pap and trach care highly preferred
• Charge experience required
• Level I trauma experience highly preferred
• Will accept first time travelers if 2+ year Med Surg experience requirement is met
• Required to float across all campuses: Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran
• Care for pulmonary and medical surgical patients
• Work with 23-bed unit
• Administer heparin drips
• May care for COVID+ patients
• EMR system: EPIC
• BLS certification required (AHA/American Heart Association or ARC/American Red Cross)
• Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required
• Skills checklist specific to medical surgical discipline required
• Professional reference from charge/supervisor/nurse manager within 24 months preferred
