RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work as a float nurse assigned to various units based on hospital needs
• Required to float to behavioral health, emergency department, ICU, and post-procedural areas
• Work every other weekend
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• 24 months of experience in Stepdown, Med Surg, Tele, or Med Surg/Telemetry required
• Must have experience and proficiency with drips including heparin, insulin, lasix, amiodarone, diltiazem, and digoxin
• Must be comfortable reading EKGs/ECGs and performing telemetry-related duties including rhythm strips and dysrhythmia reads
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must complete Basic Dysrhythmia Assessment with passing score of 80% during onboarding
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA/ARC), ACLS (AHA/ARC)
• De-escalation certificate (SAMA, MAB, MOAB, CPI) preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale certificate preferred
• Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
• First-time travelers accepted with minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Hospital/medical center experience prioritized
