RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work in a 5-bed ICU with 3 stepdown beds with 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, sometimes 1:3 depending on overflow
• May float between ICU, stepdown, and Med Surg units (23-bed unit with 1:5 ratio)
• Should have comfort caring for 3-5 patients
• Care for patient types including vent, bipap, airvo, bariatric surgery, general surgery, orthopedic, and general medical surgical patients
• Manage drips including propofol, levophed, diltiazem, insulin, and heparin
• Work every third weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• 24 months of recent/current ICU experience required
• Med Surg experience strongly encouraged
• Current/recent travel experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC
• NIHSS certificate preferred (can obtain during onboarding)
• Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required
• Professional reference from charge/supervisor/nurse manager within 24 months preferred
• Skills checklist specific to ICU/Intensive Care required
