Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician

Job Details:

• Perform all aspects of patient exam activities in nuclear medicine at a technical level under general supervision
• Specialize in performing diagnostic studies in nuclear medicine imaging
• Obtain patient history, explain procedures, and address patient concerns to ensure comfort and confidence
• Operate and maintain all assigned nuclear scanning imaging equipment
• Perform diagnostic studies including measuring and preparing concentrations of radioactive isotopes
• Properly identify, prepare and/or administer medications/substances within technologist scope of practice
• Complete quality assurance processes and practice radiation safety to reduce exposure
• Maintain all required documentation, logs, charts, forms and records in paper and electronic formats
• Maintain adequate supply of consumables for quality testing
• Perform routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and function checks on imaging equipment
• May assist other areas of radiology as assigned
• No on-call responsibilities
• No weekend requirements
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT
• Must be registered in Nuclear Medicine with ARRT or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
• Graduation from AMA-approved school of nuclear medicine required
• Must comply with Joint Commission, federal, state, and local regulatory standards
