RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in Progressive Care Unit with 16-hour shifts and guaranteed hours
• Every 3rd weekend schedule required
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
• Float across multiple campuses including Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Iowa Lutheran
• Care for cardiac patients including CABG, ICD, Pacemaker, cardiac drips, and vascular surgical patients
• Patient ratios: Days 1:4, Nights 1:6 on 24-bed unit
• Manage cardiac drips including Nitro, Cardene, Heparin, Diltiazem, Dopamine
• Telemetry tech unit monitoring available
• Required to wear navy blue solid scrubs
• Use EPIC EMR system and Alaris IV pumps, wound vac equipment
• 24 months minimum experience in Telemetry/Cardiac, Stepdown, or Progressive Care required
• Must have completed at least 1 travel contract within previous 18 months
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Iowa nursing license required
• Experience with cardiac rhythms, drip titration, and Level II trauma required
• Level I trauma experience highly preferred
