RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg PCU Tele

Job Details:

• Work every other weekend schedule
• 16-hour NBO (Night, Bends, Overtime) requirement
• Must work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Required to float across Med Surg, BH, ED, ICU and some post-procedural areas with no home unit
• Primary care will be Med Surg floating to units where assistance is needed most based on census/staffing
• Must be comfortable with telemetry monitoring and reading EKG/ECG including rhythm strips and dysrhythmia reads
• Experience required with drips: heparin, insulin, lasix, amiodarone, diltiazem, digoxin
• Must complete Basic Dysrhythmia Assessment with passing score of 80% during onboarding
• EPIC EMR experience required
• 24 months of experience in Progressive Care, Stepdown, Med Surg, Tele or Med Surg/Telemetry required
• First time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of nursing experience (hospital/medical center experience prioritized)
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Preferred certifications: De-Escalation Certificate (SAMA, MAB, MOAB, CPI), NIH Stroke Scale certificate
• Iowa license or compact/multistate license required
• Professional reference from charge/supervisor/nurse manager within 24 months preferred
