RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing professional/clinical knowledge and skills in patient care
• 12-hour shifts with 16-hour NBO (night, birthday, orientation)
• Every 3rd weekend schedule
• No on-call responsibilities
• May be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses including ED and ICU
• Must be comfortable floating to ED and ICU units
• Work with cardiac, heparin, insulin drips and some titration
• Use EPIC EMR system
• Overtime paid at 1.15x multiplier (36-40 hrs/week OT billable after 40, 48 hrs/week OT billable after 48)
• Call back at 1.5x multiplier with 2 hour minimum
• Charge/Precept differential of $6/hr
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
• Orientation schedule every Monday
• 2 years experience in Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele required
• First time travelers accepted with at least 3 years of nursing experience
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS, ACLS (AHA)
• Iowa nursing license required
• Must have taxable address outside of 50 miles from facility
• Cannot be a former employee of this health system within the last 12 months
