RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 6-bed emergency department treating patients of all ages
• Rotating weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Must be comfortable working as the only RN on shift from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM alongside ED provider and ED clerk/tech
• Med-surg RNs available for additional support during solo shifts
• Required certifications: TNCC, BLS (AHA), NIHSS, ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)
• De-escalation certificates highly preferred: CPI, MOAB, MAB, SAMA
• 24 months of emergency department experience required
• Must have completed a travel contract within previous 15 months
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Experience required with drips/titrates including TNK, cardiac drips, RSI, insulin, heparin, and propofol for moderate sedation
• Telemetry monitoring and reading experience required, preferably using Spacelabs cardiac monitors
• Rapid sequence intubation (RSI) experience required
• Lucas device experience highly preferred
• Airvo and Hamilton ventilator experience highly preferred
• Work equipment includes Lucas device, Spacelabs cardiac monitors, Airvo, and Hamilton ventilators
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
• Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
