Opportunity:

Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM with 8-hour shifts
• Start and end times may vary within the 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM timeframe
• No weekends, no call, and no holidays required
• Review patient history and physician's orders
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation
• Position patients and perform imaging procedures using proper techniques
• Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapy in accordance with scope and standards of practice
• Analyze imaging results and identify quality issues, taking appropriate action to resolve problems
• Enter, transmit, and report scan results
• Order, prepare, administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to protocols
• Monitor patient condition continuously and respond to status changes
• Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies in Clinical Nuclear Medicine rooms
• Must be certified as Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by NMTCB or registered as Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Nuclear Medicine (NM) by ARRT
• NYS License required
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification required
• 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience required
• CT certification and PET/CT experience preferred
