Opportunity:

Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician

Job Details:

• Monday through Friday schedule between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM with 8-hour shifts
• Start and end times can vary within the operational hours
• No weekends, no call, and no holiday work required
• Review patient history and physician's orders
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams
• Position patients and perform imaging procedures
• Ensure proper imaging techniques based on patient age and abilities
• Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapy according to scope and standards
• Analyze results and identify image quality issues
• Reposition patients and repeat procedures when necessary
• Enter, transmit, and report scan results
• Order, prepare, administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals
• Monitor patient condition and respond to status changes
• Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies in Clinical Nuclear Medicine rooms
• Must be certified as Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by NMTCB or registered as Radiologic Technologist (RT) with Nuclear Medicine certification by ARRT
• NYS License required
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification required
• 2 years of nuclear medicine technology experience required
• CT certification and PET/CT experience preferred
