Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Nuclear Medical Technician

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM with 8-hour shifts
• Start and end times can vary within the specified timeframe
• No weekends, no call, and no holidays required
• Review patient history and physician's orders
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams
• Position patients and perform imaging procedures using proper techniques
• Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapy in accordance with scope and standards of practice
• Analyze imaging results and identify quality issues
• Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues including repositioning patients and repeating procedures
• Enter, transmit, and report scan results
• Order, prepare, administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols
• Monitor patient condition continuously and respond to changes in status
• Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies in clinical nuclear medicine rooms
• Must be certified as Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by NMTCB or registered as Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Nuclear Medicine (NM) by ARRT
• NYS license required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• CT certification and PET/CT experience required
• 2 years of nuclear medicine technologist experience required
