Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity:

Nuclear Medical Technician

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday with varying shifts of either 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM
• No weekends, no call, and no holidays required
• Review patient history and physician's orders for nuclear medicine procedures
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation
• Position patients and perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures
• Ensure proper imaging techniques based on patient's age and ability to understand procedures
• Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapy according to scope and standards of practice
• Analyze imaging results and identify quality issues, taking appropriate action to resolve problems
• Enter, transmit, and report scan results
• Order, prepare, administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols
• Monitor patient condition continuously and respond to changes in status as appropriate
• Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies in Clinical Nuclear Medicine rooms
• Required certifications: ARRT CT, NNMTCB CT, CNMT by NMTCB or RT with NM certification by ARRT
• NYS License and BLS (American Heart Association) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine technology experience required
• CT certification and PET/CT experience required
• Preferred knowledge in GE PET or Philips PET Scanners
