RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in C200 Progressive Care unit with 10 beds
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 2 RNs, 1 LNA, and sitter PRN
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 2 RNs, 1 LNA, and sitter PRN
• Patient ratios of 3-4:1
• Work every third weekend with no on-call responsibilities
• Float to progressive care and telemetry units as needed
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Must have cardio-thoracic post-operative surgery experience
• Experience with cardiac drips (dobutamine, dopamine, and Levophed) preferred
• External pacemaker experience preferred
• Work with equipment including IV pumps, telemetry monitors, Hoyer/stand lifts, bladder scanner, Bair hugger, rapid transfuser, chest tubes, vein finder, high flow nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP, epicardial and transvenous pacers
• Document in Sunrise EMR system
• Perform procedures including pericardiocentesis with drains, thoracentesis, and chest tube insertion
• Must be organized but easily adaptable
