Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Full-time position working 8-hour day shifts
• Must have ARRT (T) registration
• Must possess current Medical Radiologic Technologist certificate with the Texas Medical Board
• Current BLS certification (AHA only) required
• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiation Therapy Technology required
• Minimum one year of experience in hospital or treatment center environment preferred
• Administer radiation therapy treatments and simulation with minimum supervision
• Follow radiation oncologist prescriptions and instructions
• Judge when treatment should be withheld until consultation with radiation oncologist
• Assist in treatment planning procedures including tumor localization and dosimetry
• Maintain accurate schedules and see patients on or before appointed times
• Explain procedures to patients and assess for special needs
• Prepare rooms and equipment for use while maintaining safe and clean environment
• Report treatment variations and equipment issues to appropriate personnel
• Observe radiation safety measures for patients and personnel
• Perform accurate documentation and record keeping
• Perform weekly chart checks and rotate responsibilities with partner
• Basic computer knowledge required
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
