RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Overtime available
• No call requirements
• 13-week assignment length
• Must have 2+ years ICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Active Texas RN license required (temporary license not accepted)
• Experience required with hemodynamic monitoring, ventilated patients, and post-CABG care
• Preferred skills include Meditech experience and CVICU experience
• Work in very high acuity unit with ECMO, heart transplant, CABG procedures
• May be floated to other ICUs depending on volume and acuity, rarely to PCU
• Use various types of equipment and Meditech documentation system
• Provide bedside shift reports with whiteboard updates
• Dress code: Royal blue scrubs required
• Clean, healthy nails (no artificial nails, gel, or extensions)
• Hair must be neat and clean, pulled back if shoulder length or longer
• Tattoos should be covered when possible
• No visible piercings other than ears allowed

The ICU is a Beacon award winner that handles very high acuity cases including ECMO, heart transplant, and CABG procedures. The facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and holds multiple specialty certifications including Primary Stroke Center certification and various disease-specific accreditations.
