RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work varied day shifts: Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM OR Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Call requirements include one weekday per week and one weekend per month (Friday 3:00 PM to Monday 7:00 AM)
• Must have strong neuro experience and 2+ years OR experience in acute care setting
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Active Texas RN license required (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Must have neurosurgery experience and 2+ years hospital/specialty experience
• Robotic experience and Meditech documentation system experience preferred
• Perform high volume of general and neuro surgery including craniotomies, orthopedic, robotic procedures, urology, plastic surgery, heart and transplant procedures
• Work with advanced equipment including DaVinci XI, Globus and Mako robots, microscopes, and standard OR equipment
• OR nursing with 1:1 patient ratios
• 1-2 surgical techs per case for support
• Facility provides scrubs
• Must maintain clean, healthy nails (no gel or artificial nails beyond fingertips)
• Hair must be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors
• Body art should be covered when possible, visible piercings other than ears prohibited
• Floating as needed based on unit requirements
