RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Orthopedic

Job Details:

• Work in combined Orthopedic and Medical Surgical units with 30 orthopedic beds and 37 medical surgical beds
• Maintain patient ratio of usually 6:1
• Full-time schedule requires working 4 weekend shifts per month (example: 3 Saturdays and 1 Sunday)
• Scheduling follows month increments (4 weeks)
• Float to inpatient units to take patients and assist with tasks in CCU and ED as needed
• Work with PCTs and SNEs in tech roles with unit secretary support during day shifts
• Use Meditech documentation system
• Some physicians perform bedside procedures, though less common than in CCU/ED
• BLS certification required
• Must demonstrate positive attitude, willingness to work hard, ability to manage patient loads, utilize teamwork strategies, and provide patient-centered care
• Dress code requires scrub top and bottoms with no fleece, hoodies, sweatshirts, or sweaters (long sleeve shirts under scrub tops or scrub jackets permitted)
• No shoes with holes, no denim, no camouflage allowed
• All experience levels welcome to apply
