RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Cardiovascular Surgery

Job Details:

• Work in a specialized open heart operating room environment
• Day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM with call coverage after 3:00 PM and weekend call
• 1:1 patient ratios providing individualized care
• Must have experience with open heart procedures and cardiothoracic service line
• Typical procedures include CABG (with and without EVH), Impellas, pericardial windows, valve replacements, and ECMO
• Float to other operating rooms when no open heart procedures are scheduled
• Work with other service lines including trauma, general surgery, gynecology, urology, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and plastics
• Use standard OR equipment and Meditech EMR system
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs
• Dependability and flexibility are essential personality traits
• Call assistance provided for holidays and general call coverage
• Work with a team of 8 staff members (4 RNs and 4 techs)

This is a major healthcare facility with 457 beds and 14 operating rooms, including one dedicated open heart room with plans to expand to two open heart rooms. The facility operates a comprehensive cardiovascular surgery program located in the South Tower operating room on the first floor. The organization provides advanced cardiac care with state-of-the-art equipment and maintains high standards for specialized cardiac procedures.
