RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Cardiovascular Surgery

Job Details:

• Work day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM with call coverage after 3:00 PM and weekend call
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratios in the operating room environment
• Work in a 14-OR facility with 1 dedicated Open Heart Room (planning for 2 Open Heart Rooms)
• Float to other operating rooms when no open heart surgeries are scheduled
• Utilize standard OR equipment and Meditech EMR system
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Must have open heart and cardiothoracic service line experience
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Experience with other service lines preferred (Trauma, General, Gynecology, Urology, Orthopedics, Neurology, Plastics)
• Perform CABG procedures (with and without EVH), Impellas, pericardial windows, valve replacements, and ECMO procedures
• Dependability and flexibility are essential personality traits
• Weekend and holiday call assistance required

This healthcare facility is a comprehensive medical center featuring 457 beds and 14 operating rooms located in the South Tower's first floor. The cardiovascular surgery unit operates with a dedicated team of 8 staff members including 4 RNs and 4 technicians, specializing in complex cardiac procedures and maintaining high standards of patient care in a state-of-the-art surgical environment.
