RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Seasonal travel assignment
• Patient ratio of 6:1 during night shift
• Work on busy medical-surgical unit with 48 private rooms
• Provide care for surgical flap patients and spinal cord injury patients with stage 4 wounds requiring surgical intervention
• Partner with burn unit to care for low-acuity burn patients
• Perform wound care, occasional bowel programs, and light burn care
• Use telemetry monitoring equipment
• Work with Meditech EMR system
• Required certifications: BLS
• Medical/surgical background required
• Experience with spinal cord injury patients preferred
• Must be comfortable working on a busy medical floor
• May occasionally use semi-private rooms when hospital census is high
