RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work on a 54-bed medical-surgical unit with 11 dedicated ortho/spine beds
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 for RNs with RN/LPN team coverage of 10 total patients
• At least one weekend within 4-week period required (may be split)
• Floating within unit at facility's discretion
• Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, active RN license; ACLS optional
• Grey scrubs uniform required
• Work with Alaris pumps, remote telemetry, continuous pulse oximetry, specialty beds, wound vacs, chest tubes, NG and feeding tubes
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Care for medical-surgical patients, orthopedic and spine patients, trauma patients, and psych medical hold patients
• Perform procedures including post-catheterizations without intervention, lap appy/chole, thoracentesis/paracentesis, HD/peritoneal dialysis, CBI
• Unit staffed with secretaries until 8pm weekdays, techs and externs available
• Must demonstrate punctuality, time management, organization, and effective communication skills
• Opportunities for overtime and incentives available
