Description

RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 13-week assignment with 36 hours guaranteed per week
• Schedule consists of 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
• Weekend requirement: 4 shifts per 4-week schedule
• No on-call expectations
• 12-bed CTICU unit with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• Care for adult patients ages 18+ undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic procedures
• Unit staffing includes charge nurse plus RNs (no secretary, techs, or CNAs)
• Float to other ICU units, IMC, and ED hold area as needed
• Work with advanced equipment including ventilators, balloon pumps, CRRT, Swan-Ganz catheters, arterial lines, rapid infusers, and blood warmers
• Document using Meditech system
• Assist with bedside procedures including central line placement, chest tube placement and removal, thoracentesis, and intubation/extubation
• Must have 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Open heart surgery recovery experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must be able to care for patients on ventilators, IABP, CRRT, Swan-Ganz/PA catheters, and arterial/central lines
• Dress code: Royal blue scrubs required
• Fingerprinting required for employment
• Start dates will be 4-6 weeks out

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
